Every photograph tells two stories.
The one we immediately recognise.
And the one hiding just beneath the surface.
I'm searching for the second.
Whether I'm photographing an artist, a stranger, a musician or someone I've just met, my approach is always the same. I observe before I direct. I listen before I photograph. I let silence do its work.
Most of my work is created in black and white because it strips away distraction. What remains is character, emotion and presence.
These photographs aren't about perfect moments.
They're about honest ones.
